The CWDM-GBIC-1610 sits at the upper end of the Cisco GBIC-format CWDM range, transmitting at a wavelength of 1610 nm for 1 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet over single-mode fiber with a reach of 100 km and an SC (PC or UPC) duplex connector.

This module is ideally suited to long-haul networks where optical bandwidth is maximised through multiple CWDM channels spaced 20 nm apart.
