Qu'est-ce qu'un proxy ? Forward, reverse et transparent

Un proxy est un intermédiaire qui traite les requêtes réseau entre client et serveur. Utilisé pour anonymisation, caching, filtering, load balancing, SSL termination. 3 types principaux : forward proxy (sortie internet), reverse proxy (entrée services), transparent proxy.

Types

Forward proxy

• Clients internes → proxy → Internet
• Usage : filtering web, caching, logging, anonymisation
• Exemples : Squid, BlueCoat, Cisco WSA

Reverse proxy

• Internet → proxy → serveurs internes
• Usage : SSL termination, LB, caching web, WAF
• Exemples : NGINX, HAProxy, Apache, Cloudflare, F5

Transparent proxy

• Sans config client (intercept)
• Routé par policy-based routing ou WCCP
• Usage : filtering ISP, FW intercept
